About Southend Live

Southend Live is a web portal specifically designed for the residents of Southend-on-Sea and Essex. The concept of the web portal was to bring together national and local content all in one place. The original Southend Live alpha was released on January 2010. This was live for about 4 weeks and we then decided to take the service down to rewrite it. The current version of the site that you are looking at is v1.2.0 and was launched on 19/06/2010 and represents a significant milestone in our timeline for Southend Live. Over the coming weeks and months we will be rolling out regular, updates, improvements and new features.

The Southend Live team plans to bring additional services and applications to Southend Live by 31/08/2010. You may not notice these at first and the majority of them will be performance enhancements and bug fixes.

Southend Live is not a contnet provider but simply a website that mines links from websites we think that you will be interested in. These links re updated regularly and we use over 22 different websites for our content.
